So What Did I Miss?

Mostly it is loss which teaches us about the worth of things.” Arthur Schopenhauer

Hey honey I’m home!  After a long couple of weeks off that turned into months, I am going to return back to Beauty Explore Online slowly.  I have had some personal setbacks and a recent loss within my family that has left me broken and devastated beyond words.  One of my favorite people in my family that was left with me on this earth suddenly departed this past week and where I go from here, I can not say but returning to some normalcy is probably better than what I was stewing in the few months before all of this.  I had been thinking seriously about what steps to take next with this blog and what would be best for me as a blogger and have been stuck in the same place for years now.  This post is about to get personal and I don’t have plans to return back to this subject again, so take it for whatever it is.

Like many Americans, I have felt inspired by the recent courageous actions of Dr. Christine Ford Blasley and the protesters speaking out against President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh and have considered speaking my own truth on this subject but know that today isn’t the right time or place for me although this blog is truly a direct result of my own #metoo experience, just it was only a few short years before it was a social movement or a hashtag. But yes for me, this blog, as well as my previous ones have been something of a plan b of sorts or rather a way for me to focus on some of my other interests while my first choice of course was stolen right from underneath me.   Hey, I love writing reviews and researching beauty products but there’s some backstory here and I keep thinking that there’s no way I’m the only person that is living with this.  So that’s why I am going on about it now.

Today, I am writing this one to my fellow bloggers who love what they do but maybe they lost else they loved along the way to get to this point.  You’re not alone.

xoxo

Jess
