Product Review for Altchek MD
Glycolic Renewal Pads
I have been using products from the Altchek MD skincare line (available at Ulta and Kohls) for about 3 weeks now and am definitely seeing a noticeable differences in my skin. I can not believe the quality of this line and the price it is being offered at. Over the next week I plan on doing reviews for the products here on my blog, I hope that you will enjoy the posts and consider checking out Altchek MD yourself. If you do, please let me know what you think. I love hearing your thoughts!
The first item I am going to review for you would be the Glycolic Renewal Pads. These pads cost $20 for 36 pads, which is an unbeatable price for Glycolic acid pads. Before using these I was using Dr. Grossman’s Alpha Beta Pads (which are also Glycolic acid pads) which cost me $88 for 30 pads. I prefer these already because they are gentler on my skin and I can use them more often. I am certainly noticing brighter and clearer skin since using these pads. Others have also remarked that my skim was looking nice. They are almost too good to be true. I do recommend using the Daily Exfoliating Cleanser (12.99) along with these pads. I will have a review up for that later this week. I wish this product had come out years ago. The Glycolic Renewal Pads micro-exfoliate, smooth the appearance of fine lines while improving skin tone, promotes radiance, and clarifies pores. I am amazed by this product. After just a few uses my mom noticed that my skin was looking better. Besides Glycolic Acid the pads contain Lactic and Salicylic Acid to help clarify and smooth the skins surface. They also contain fruit acids, green tea extract, and witch hazel. Dr. Altchek suggests using these pads 2-3 times per week on a clean freshly washed face.
Dr. Altchek also recommends using the Daily Exfoliating Cleanser. When using these pads, wipe in a circular motion on your face for 30-60 seconds and do not rinse following use. He recommends following up with the Brightening Serum and Night Treatment. Again, more reviews coming soon. I find that the pads were most beneficial for me when used 3 times a week but I also have used AHA pads before so my skin is use to Glycolic Acid. Another thing that is unique about these pads is the size. They are much bigger than other AHA pads and just as saturated.
After using these for 3 weeks, I am sold and would highly recommend the Altchek MD Glycolic Renewal Pads. I really like this product and the brand. After experiencing results after just a few uses, I am hooked. I think these will certainly help to brighten my skin and help control breakouts. My pores are also looking better. If you decide to try these make sure to use a moisturizer afterwards and also use your sunscreen because AHA can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. You can find these products at Ulta.com. They are also available at Kohls and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. You can find Dr. Alchek on Instgram @altchekmd as well as most other social media websites.
